The complete nine-chapter journey is now playable in the internal PC build of Beyond the Portal, including the finale and epilogue. The website’s world explorer, maps, and walkthrough now cover the full chapter sequence.

Here is a glimpse of the last stretch of the expedition. These environment images come from the game’s existing production artwork. Solutions and later scene states remain behind the field guide’s spoiler controls.

Chapter 7 · The Nexus

Beyond the volcanic basin lies a facility whose machines still follow ancient instructions. Find the missing specialist, investigate the network, and put observation and careful engineering to work.

Chapter 8 · The Regent’s Fortress

The expedition’s skills come together inside the fortress: interpreting old procedures, navigating service passages, and finding a way past formidable machinery. The chapter guide covers the reservoir approach, detention routes, private floor, and freight bridge.

Chapter 9 · The First Gate

Return to Portal Valley with everything the expedition has learned. Explore beneath the familiar landscape, reconstruct a working route, and bring the journey to its conclusion. The final chapter guide includes the ending and epilogue; open it when you are ready for those locations.

The field guide now spans all nine chapters

Choose any chapter from the dropdown on Maps or Walkthrough. Chapter 8 and Chapter 9 each include three illustrated locations. Select a camera-marked location on the map or open its field note to view the image. Extra scene states remain optional inside the enlarged viewer.

The first public expedition

The first public development release remains planned for Chapters 1–4. It will contain the complete playable chapter scope, with its development status clearly labeled. No public download or release date is available yet.

Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS/iPadOS remain target platforms. Packages, controls, and platform-specific testing must be ready before any download or beta link appears here.
